OBJECTIVE: Convey a true and accurate portrayal of the time-honored traditions and heritage of shooting sports.

From the thrill and camaraderie of competitive shooting to the work done by hunters and shooters to improve the health of the environment to technological advances made by the firearm and ammunition industries, the shooting sports community has a great story to tell!  The Image Committee works to promote and publicize the value of shooting sports.

The WFSA Plenary Session

Every year, the WFSA holds its Plenary Session during the “IWA & Outdoors Classics”, the international trade fair for hunting, shooting sports and outdoor activities. It is an event open to all our members, sector stakeholders, and the press. Different topics are addressed and debated through panel discussions chaired by outstanding experts. This annual event starts with a luncheon, during which a Keynote Speaker gives his or her views and insights about the issues facing our community. During the main session, the WFSA Dr. Vito Genco Shooting Ambassador Award is presented.

The WFSA believes that the general public needs to gain a better understanding of the larger benefits of shooting sports.

The WFSA Dr. Vito Genco Shooting Ambassador Award seeks to improve the public perception of shooting sports by recognizing the extraordinary contributions made by key influencers in the hunting/sport shooting community.
